Domaine Bois de Boursan Chateauneuf du Pape 2012
A powerful, full bodied wine which can be drunk in the early years but has a very good aging potential. This is a traditional wine with the taste of Châteauneuf du Pape of old. Incense and black cherries lead off the wine, followed by earthy notes complicated by strawberry and raspberry flavors. There is freshness and intensity from the mid palate to the finish. It can accompany all kinds of red meat and cheese.
Served at Motor City Wine in Detroit and Caya in Walled Lake. Sold at International Beverage in Grand Rapids, Orion Keg & Wine in Lake Orion, King’s Cove in Holland and House of Pure Vin in Detroit.
Moris Farms Morellino di Scansano 2013
This wine gets its flavor from the sandy soil on which the vines grow and the final result, in the glass, is an elegant wine with soft tannins. Made by 90% Sangiovese, this wine is fresh and pleasant with notes of red fruit, typical of this grape.
