Blind Wine Tasting at Burritt’s Market in Traverse City

Please join us this Thursday, August 14th, from 5:30 to 7:00, for a BLIND WINE TASTING.

You walk up to the bar. As soon as you sit down, a glass slides across the slick granite surface to you, the red wine inside sluicing against the cold crystal that contains it. Looking up, you spot source of the glass; the Sommelier, half hidden amongst wine bottles, who is watching you closely.

“I didn’t order this.” You say, brusquely. The Sommelier does not reply, save for a smile.

“Well are you at least going to tell me what it is I’m drinking?” you continue, swirling the glass absentmindedly between your fingers.

The Sommelier’s smile widens, before he utters a single word: “Guess.”

Back by popular demand, Burritt’s Fresh Market is holding a blind wine tasting this week!  We have six mysterious bottles, and it is up to you, dear reader and potential taster, to try and suss out just what it is that lurks within your glass.

So come and pit your tastebuds against our cryptic bottles of wine, and see if you can solve the mystery of the Burritt’s Blind Wine Tasting.

We are featuring 2 grapes Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah. 3 different expressions of each grape.

Tastings cost $10 per person and include five or six tastes of different wines paired with a plate of appetizers.

$5 of each receipt may be applied toward the purchase of a bottle of wine from the tasting.
