Famed French Rhone winemaker has an impressive pedigree.
Woodberry Wine, LLC announces the addition of Chateau de Montfaucon to their already impressive book of wines from the Rhone region of France. Montfaucon is located in the heart of the Rhone Valley, on the right bank of the Rhone River, and faces Chateauneuf Du Pape. The importer is Kindred Vines Import Company.
”The wines of the Rhone region of France continues to expand faster than the industry as a whole, as consumers discover their tremendous ability to pare with foods, and the hedonistic quality of the wines themselves”, stated Dan Glisky, CEO of Woodberry Wine, LLC. As we grow our portfolio, we remain committed to growing and strengthening our Rhone book, as we love the wines and love championing them. In 2011, volume growth for Rhone wines was 17%, and each year since growth has continued. The Rhone produces more than just food friendly red and white wines, they now produce more Rose’s than Provence, another segment Woodberry Wine specializes in.
Rodolphe de Pins started running the family estate in 1995, and he has since conquered critics in France and abroad with his complex, elegant and balanced wines, which come from 40-100 year old Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan vines. Rodolphe stated “we are excited to be working with both Kindred Vines Import Company and Woodberry Wine distributors, who both have such a strong track record of success in growing and developing wine brands, and have such a dedicated commitment to customer service.”
