Last week, Woodberry Wine hosted our 2014 Metro Detroit Fall Trade Show. This was our biggest and best trade show of 2014, and in my opinion, it was awesome! In 2014 Woodberry hosted more trade shows than in any year prior, giving us more opportunities to meet with our partners and foster our relationships. Last week’s Metro Detroit Fall Trade Show was our last of the year, so for this month’s edition of Leaves from the Vine I wanted to take some time to reflect on what these events mean to me.
At Woodberry Wine, one of our values is “knowing our partners, and knowing our wines”, and we carry this with us as we strive for exemplary service. I believe that our trade shows are examples of this concept and help get us closer to this ever intangible goal. When we host an event such as a trade show, we invite our guests to experience new things, learn about the world of wine, and grow our relationships. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet with our customers and our suppliers to learn, talk, taste wine, and have fun!
A lot of work goes into making these events a success; a lot of passion, a lot of pride. These are group efforts across the company and in a way, microcosms of our business as a whole. Our logistics team helps with preparations, assembly, and disassembly. Our office team takes incredible attention to detail in creating the materials with finesse. Our producers/suppliers provide expert and intimate knowledge of vineyards, wineries, and winemakers. Our sales team provides dedicated service in representing our wines and helps us all to spread the word and fill the guest list! It’s this beautiful symphony that really just makes my heart sing.
The “full-circle” experience is what offer at these shows; all of us at Woodberry Wine, giving our best to share these positive experiences with our partners, our friends. In this month’s edition of Leaves from the Vine, I’d like to raise a glass to everyone that attended one of our shows in 2014, whether you came from down the road, or across the globe, you help make these events special!
