More about this Producer
The concept for Opalia was created by Stephane Vedeau. The wine is made at Caves des Cessane outside Montpellier in Southern France and the team produces exceptional wine at a good price and is a true expression of the Languedoc climate and soil. The vines are sourced from 15 to 40 year old vines and all wines see 4-6 months in new and secondary oak, except for the Sauvignon Blanc.
Opalia is owned through the association of Domaines Bonfils and Maurel Vedeau, a private joint venture of vineyard estate ownership and modern forward thinking winemaking techniques. The grapes are sourced from the selected plots that are dedicated to Opalia.
Opalia produces high quality wine from the Languedoc with a purity that reflects the terrior from personally owned vineyards. They have established close relations with some of the best vineyards and worked with them to get the best possible fruit.
