The Beauty of the Languedoc with Christel Burks of Foncalieu
Olive trees, garrigue, lavender, thyme, vineyards set on rolling hills along the Mediterranean, this is the landscape of the Languedoc region, a sundrenched part of southern France that produces a myriad of wines from sparkling, rosé, and white, to red and dessert-style. Many noble native grape varietals thrive in that hot and dry climate, including Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre. Whites are becoming more and more important with Picpoul, Marsanne, Viognier, Chardonnay and even Vermentino growing successfully and offering an array of beautiful aromatics that transport you to that gorgeous part of France. Come join us as we explore one of the most dynamic winegrowing areas!
